H.E Ali Ahmed Dinar is the 30th Sultan of the Islamic Sultanate of Darfur, a dynasty that has existed for over 500 years. He was appointed as Sultan in 2016. Sultan Ahmed completed his higher education at Al-Jazeera University and, due to his interest in science, was awarded an honorary doctorate by Technofest Technology College in Turkey. Additionally, he received an official international award from Portugal for his contributions to innovation, peace, and development in Africa, as well as fostering international cooperation.
Beyond his title as Sultan of Darfur, H.E Ali Ahmed Dinar is a prominent Sudanese national figure who holds leadership positions in several organizations. He is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Dinar Holding Group” in Turkey and the Republic of Kenya, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Baqt Al-Rida University, Chairman of the Sultan Ali Dinar Islamic Complex, and oversees the Sultan Ali Dinar Museum, his palace, and the Sultan Ali Dinar Foundations.
Like every responsible individual, Sultan Ahmed Ali Dinar spares no effort in assisting those in need. He actively expands humanitarian aid efforts for the people of Darfur. In addition to charitable activities, Ahmed Ali Dinar participates in numerous regional and international events, exhibitions, forums, conferences, seminars, and dialogues. Among these are the Juba Agreement for Sudanese Peace, the Sultan Ahmed Dinar Initiative for Peace and Community Harmony, the International Bosphorus Conference, and Africa-Turkey Economic Forums.
Ahmed Ali Dinar holds numerous prestigious titles, orders, and awards. He is the Honorary President of the Iranian Professional Boxing Federation and has received the Republic Order, Two Niles Order, Constitution Order, Political Achievement Order, the “Best Businessman of the Middle East” Award in 2023, and the “Man of Peace” Award in 2021. On December 3, 2024, Ahmed Ali Dinar was honored with another prestigious award during a gala evening organized by Millionaire Concept in Baku.
